The United Nations Refugee Agency stated on Sunday that 10 million Ukrainians have fled their homes since the beginning of the conflict with Russia, including around 6.5 million internally displaced people. 90% of refugees are women and children, while Ukrainian men aged 18 to 60 cannot leave as they are eligible for military service.
The agency initially estimated some 4 million people could leave Ukraine, but that number has almost been reached already, with estimates putting it at 3,389,044, of which over 1.5 million are children.
