A 5.3-magnitude earthquake was recorded in Papua New Guinea, according to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake struck the region at a depth of 100.1 kilometers, 36 kilometers north of the Kandrian district, located in the country’s West New Britain Province.
As of this moment, there are no reported damages and no tsunami watch has been issued.
