An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 struck off the coast of Taiwan on Monday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The quake’s epicenter was registered 69 kilometers east of Hualien City at a depth of 17.9 kilometers. Witnesses said the tremor was felt in Taiwan’s capital Taipei. There have been no reports of damage or casualties yet.
