A 6.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Kitimat, British Columbia, according to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The epicenter of the quake was some 164 kilometers south-southeast from the Kitimat, which is home to around 5,084, according to the 2016 Census.
The tremor struck the region at a depth of 15.0 kilometers and it remains unknown, as of yet, whether any damages were suffered.
