At least 82 people have lost their lives after Typhoon Yagi hit Vietnam, state broadcaster VTV reported on Tuesday, citing the country’s disaster management agency.
According to the agency, another 64 people are still missing amid the severe floods caused by the typhoon and over 750 people have been injured.
State media reported that the floods are affecting the north of the country, including the capital Hanoi and the the industrial hubs of Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen.
