The Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jose Manuel Albares, announced on Tuesday that the Spanish government had decided to definitively withdraw its ambassador in Buenos Aires, Maria Jesus Alonso.
The measure follows the comments of Argentina’s president, Javier Milei. During a rally in Madrid, the Argentinian president called the wife of the European president “corrupt.” Moreover, in recent declarations, Milei not only rejected a formal apology but also accused the head of the executive, Pedro Sanchez, of being a “coward” and of hiding “coup intentions” with Kirchnerism.
