UKRAINIAN MILITARY ACHIEVEMENTS
Russian sources claim that on August 6, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crossed the state border and occupied several Russian settlements in Kursk oblast. Ukraine did not make official announcements regarding the events in the Kursk oblast.
It was Russia that started this war and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. It would be naïve for the aggressor state to believe that the war would bypass its territory. Ukraine may conduct hostilities on the Russian territory exercising its legal right to self-defence. Ukraine has not yet fully used this opportunity.
The events in the Kursk oblast caused some disorientation among Russian propagandists. Reports of significant losses (tanks, Ka-52 attack helicopter, etc.) rather demonstrated the weakness of the defence of the Russian rear. It turned out that Moscow, contrary to Putin’s personal assurances, is dragging its conscripts into the war.
COOPERATION BETWEEN UKRAINE AND AFRICAN COUNTRIES
The fourth diplomatic tour of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to African countries took place – Malawi, Zambia, and Mauritius.
Ukraine seeks to establish sincere, friendly relations with African countries. Ukraine is determined to actively develop economic, scientific and technical cooperation with the African continent, cooperate in the humanitarian sphere, and build political partnerships. Despite Russian aggression, Ukraine continues to make efforts to maintain global food security.
That is why today Ukraine warns the governments of African states against “friendship” with Russia. This is the path to international isolation and economic hopelessness. Ukraine calls on the governments of African countries to be far-sighted and prudent.
