Former Syrian prime minister Mohammed Ghazi al-Jalali told Al Arabiya TV on Monday that he agreed to hand over power to the rebel group, called the Salvation Government, that overthrew President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
Earlier, Syria’s opposition group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani said he met with Jalali “to coordinate a transfer of power that guarantees the provision of services” to Syria’s people.
