The Ministry of Health has announced that the Minister, Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, chaired a working session on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the ministry’s headquarters, with a delegation from Harvard Medical School, in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Tunis, along with representatives from medical schools and the relevant departments.
The meeting focused on monitoring the progress of Tunisian candidates who have completed two years of specialized training at Harvard, as well as assessing the advancement of the new cohort currently undergoing training in the United States. The session also provided an opportunity to review new programs aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two sides and to evaluate the implementation of the agreement signed with Harvard in December 2023. The agreement aims to enhance medical training in Tunisia, provide physicians with advanced academic instruction and a master’s degree, support medical research, and facilitate the transfer of expertise in line with international standards.
Discussions also addressed ways to expand the partnership in the fields of scientific research, continuing education, and skills exchange.
