A Tunisian-Saudi agreement to produce high-end medicines

Tunisia and Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding for the local production of high-end medicines that meet international standards. The agreement also seeks to strengthen the training of Tunisian skills.

These topics were examined during a meeting between the Minister of Health, Moustapha Ferjani, and the Director-General of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Hicham Jadhaï. A statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Health indicates that the two men met on the sidelines of the Global Forum on Local Production, which was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Additionally, the two officials discussed ways to further strengthen the partnership in the pharmaceutical industry and improve the performance of the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products.
