The Eagles of Carthage crashed Ghana down at Ismailia Stadium in the AFCON 2019. The Carthage Eagles hit Ghana 5-4 on penalties following a 1 – 1 draw after extra time. Taha Yassine Khenissi scored the team’s first goal at the 73rd minute. The table turned for the team when Rami Bedoui headed the ball past his own keeper. With the extra given time Goalkeeper, Farouk Ben Mustapha went on to save the only penalty in the shootout. The deal was seized with Ferjani Sassi scoring the winning kick.
