Algeria was crowned Africa Cup of Nations champion after smashing Senegal 1-0. Striker Baghdad Bounedjah bewildered Senegal by scoring the at 79 seconds. This is Algeria second win in the AFCON 2019. Senegal was granted a penalty for handball in the second half but the ruling was overthrown following a VAR review.
