AFD: Two draft bills reviewed by the ARP to fund the modernization of health services

    The Assembly of the Representatives of the People is holding a plenary session on Thursday, February 12, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. The agenda includes two draft laws concerning the approval of addenda to a loan agreement concluded between the Republic of Tunisia and the Agence française de développement (AFD), signed on February 14, 2019.

    The plenary session, set for Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m., will be devoted to examining two texts related to addenda attached to the same loan agreement dated February 14, 2019, signed between Tunisia and the AFD.

    First text: Addendum no. 1 for the health program in sidi bouzid

    MPs will examine a draft law approving Addendum (Annex) No. 1, concluded on March 25, 2025, to the loan agreement signed on February 14, 2019 between the Republic of Tunisia and the Agence française de développement.

    This addendum aims to help finance the program to modernize health services in the Sidi Bouzid region. The text is referenced as 2025/69.

    Second text: Addendum no. 2 to support “e-health” (e-santé)

    The session also provides for the examination of a second draft law approving Addendum (Annex) No. 2, concluded on December 27, 2024, attached to the same loan agreement of February 14, 2019 between Tunisia and the AFD.

    This addendum concerns the contribution to financing the “E-Santé” e-health support program. The text is referenced as 2025/70.
