As Eid al-Fitr approaches, the International Organization for the Protection of Mediterranean Children has urged parents to refrain from purchasing firecrackers during Ramadan to safeguard their children and the wider community.
The organization emphasized that these products, which are legally prohibited, pose a serious risk to minors. It highlighted the legal and moral responsibility of parents in preventing injuries linked to their use.
In its statement, the organization called on authorities to intensify inspection campaigns to seize illegally sold quantities and impose strict penalties on violators.
