In a statement to Tunisia Numerique on Friday, October 18, 2024, former diplomat Abdallah Al-Abidi stated that the occupying entity has not been able to accomplish its strategic objectives, despite the damage it has inflicted on both Gaza and the southern suburbs of Beirut during the ongoing war since October 7.
Al-Abidi added that this has led Netanyahu to market acts of terrorism as if they were major military achievements, remarking that the Israelis are working in a classic manner aimed at breaking the chain of leadership. Nevertheless, the resistance is swiftly responding by replacing leaders, whether it be by Hezbollah or Hamas.
He furthermore pointed out that the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar on the frontlines is clear proof that this will not impact the course of events, particularly regarding the release of hostages. This was confirmed by Khalil Al-Hayya, who stressed that the matter will only be resolved once the war ends and Palestinian prisoners are released.
