Algeria’s Civil Protection services successfully rescued 21 people who were trapped in a car and a bus immobilized by heavy snowfall in the province of Tizi Ouzou, according to a statement published on their official Facebook page.
The two vehicles were freed after becoming stuck due to intense snow accumulation affecting several areas of the region.
Authorities confirmed that all passengers were safely evacuated, with no injuries reported.
Civil Protection units also intervened in the provinces of El Tarf and Tipaza, where teams carried out rainwater pumping operations in several residential neighborhoods following heavy rainfall.

Authorities urged residents to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel in areas affected by snow or severe rainfall.
