The Algerian energy group Sonatrach has released its financial results for 2024. Over the past year, the company’s primary hydrocarbon production remained stable compared to 2023, reaching 193.7 million tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE). The group posted a net profit of 812 billion Algerian dinars, equivalent to approximately 6 billion dollars.
Despite a challenging global environment, Sonatrach recorded several notable achievements, including a record output of refined fuels: 10.8 million tonnes of diesel and 3.7 million tonnes of gasoline.
Export revenue amounted to 6,019 billion Algerian dinars, or about 45 billion dollars.
Overall revenue reached 6,523 billion Algerian dinars last year.
“The company has demonstrated strong resilience and adaptability, steadfastly pursuing the investment objectives set out in its development plan,” the group’s report states.
