The three land border crossings in Jendouba Governorate recorded a sharp increase in Algerian visitors between January and the end of November 2025, with arrivals rising by 24.31% compared to the same period in 2024, according to the regional tourism office of Tabarka–Aïn Draham.
The Malloula, Babouch, and Jellil border posts saw a combined total of 1,413,199 Algerian travelers, up from 1,136,834 during the same months of the previous year.
This strong upward trend has significantly boosted the local tourism ecosystem, energizing economic activity, supporting traditional crafts, strengthening tourist transport services, and enhancing related sectors.
