American activist of Turkish descent was fatally injured by Israeli forces in Beita, a town in the West Bank, the Palestine news agency WAFA reported on Friday.
The activist was identified as Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, and the cause of death was a shot in the head by the Israeli army, during the weekly demonstrations against settlement expansion. Eygi was transferred to the Rafidia hospital in Nablus, where the medical teams administered urgent care to save her life, according to WAFA’s medical sources. However, despite their efforts, she succumbed to her wounds.
