Following the recent weather disturbances that affected Tunisia, the National Heritage Institute (INP) has stepped up its monitoring, survey and documentation activities at archaeological sites uncovered by these natural events.
In coordination with the Maritime Guard of the Bizerte governorate, a scientific team specializing in mosaics was deployed to the coastal area of Ras Jebel, where several mosaic panels and archaeological remains were exposed along the shoreline. The team carried out documentation, recording and recovery operations in line with established scientific standards.
