At least 19 people have been killed and 34 injured by blasts at Afghanistan’s biggest military hospital in Kabul on Tuesday.
Interior ministry spokesman Qari Saeed Khosty stated that the explosions took place at the entrance of the 400-bed Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan hospital. The cause has not been confirmed, but eyewitnesses told said they saw many attackers entering the premises and heard gunfire after the blasts.
Many of the wounded were taken to the War and Trauma Hospital nearby in Kabul.
