At least seven people died in the wildfires currently ranging in Portugal, authorities said on Tuesday. The fatalities include three firefighters who seemingly lost control of their vehicle, which veered into the flames.
The Portuguese National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection said 4,123 firefighters have been mobilized to battle 65 wildfires across the country.
