The main session of the 2025 baccalaureate exams began this Monday, June 2, across Tunisia. In Sfax, Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent covered the launch of this crucial event within the Sfax 1 Regional Delegation for Education.
Regional delegate Abdelwahab Jerbi confirmed that the exams started under good and normal conditions, emphasizing smooth organization and a calm atmosphere at the examination centers. He also reassured parents that the first day had gone well.
Over 7,500 Candidates Across 28 Exam Centers
According to the delegate, a total of 7,559 candidates are sitting for the baccalaureate exams under the jurisdiction of the Sfax 1 education delegation. These students are distributed across 28 exam centers, all mobilized to ensure smooth proceedings.
Among the candidates, 5,916 students are from public schools.
Special Arrangements for Students with Disabilities
The regional delegate also highlighted that four visually impaired students, enrolled in the Arts stream, will be taking their exams at the Institut des Aveugles du 9 Avril (9 April Institute for the Blind), a center specially equipped to meet their needs.
This main session of the baccalaureate represents a decisive milestone for thousands of young Tunisians. In Sfax, as in other regions, education authorities are ensuring close supervision to allow students to sit for their exams under the best possible conditions.
