Beja: Drones used in agriculture to fight fires (Video)

To fight the risk of fires in major cereal crops during the harvest season which began on May 27 for barley and May 29 for wheat, drones were employed to control fires.

“Thanks to the efforts of civil protection and local authorities (equipment, agriculture, etc.), no major fires have been registered in the region. The damage caused by the 15 recorded fires did not surpass 60 hectares. These fires are caused in particular by the lack of required maintenance of the equipment used. Preparations are going well for the harvest season,” Saber Benbli, the first delegate responsible for managing current affairs in the Beja governorate, told Tunisie Numérique.
