In a symbolic gesture of gratitude, the municipality of Béja has awarded recognition to municipal staff and cleaning teams who participated in the special sanitation campaign held during Eid al-Adha 2025.
Over 400 tons of waste collected
The operations took place over three days — June 6, 7, and 8, 2025 — mobilizing all the city’s technical teams to collect animal skins and urban waste from various neighborhoods, under significant environmental and logistical pressure.
According to Faouzi Nefzi, the municipal administrator, more than 400 tons of waste were collected thanks to a structured action plan and the unwavering commitment of the field workers.
A well-deserved recognition
The ceremony aimed to honor the dedication of the cleaning staff and promote a culture of public service, while strengthening the bond between the municipality and its citizens.
It stands as a concrete example of recognition culture, in service of the environment and quality of urban life in Béja.
