Farouk Aouichri, the Regional Commissioner for Education in Béja, told Tunisie Numérique’s correspondent that the regional education office organised, on Sunday 14 December 2025, a regional forum dedicated to photography, cinema and visual arts at the delegation’s headquarters, with the participation of several educational institutions, including primary schools and secondary schools.
Aouichri said the aim of the meeting was to select the office’s representatives who will take part in the national forum on photography, cinema and visual arts, scheduled to be held at the Regional Commissioner for Education in Mahdia on 22, 23 and 24 December 2025. He added that Béja’s participation in the event stands out each year for its creativity and strong performance.
Regarding participation, the regional official noted that six educational institutions took part in the forum, though the number could have been higher. Some schools were unable to attend due to examinations held last week, he explained.
Aouichri also said this year’s edition focuses on violence in schools, stressing the importance of raising awareness about prevention methods and ways to curb the phenomenon, which is directly linked to core educational values and to teaching students practical approaches to dealing with it.
