President Joe Biden is to sign an order to protect the right to abortion for women affected by the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade. This order would mark the beginning of the promised fight for women’s reproductive health.
Per the fact sheet released by the administration, the order would include reproductive healthcare services, including abortion and contraception, as well as pro bono legal counsel. The women in need of reproductive care would also be given legal permission to travel out of state to terminate the pregnancy.
