Bizerte : nearly 5,000 participants in the first Hippodiaritus Half Marathon

The governorate of Bizerte hosted, on Sunday, the inaugural founding edition of the Hippodiaritus Half Marathon, which achieved notable success in terms of attendance, participation, and organisation.

The event took place in a distinctive sporting and tourism-oriented atmosphere, positioning it as a strong candidate for international status starting in 2027.

The race recorded a record turnout of around 5,000 athletes, both women and men, from various age groups and regions, alongside Arab and international participants who are enthusiasts of long-distance running.

The Governor of Bizerte, Salem Ben Yacoub, gave the starting signal following the flag-raising ceremony, before presiding over the awards ceremony and honouring the winners across the different races.
