European Union’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell announced on Wednesday the Council of Ministers would reach a deal on introducing a new sanctions package against Russia as soon as today.
According to the report published earlier today, Brussels is anticipated to include a price cap on Russian oil imports in the eight sanctions package since the start of Moscow’s invasion on Ukraine in late February.
“You can trust the Council will reach a sanctions deal today,” Borrell vowed.
