According to data from the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the average money market rate (TMM) stood at 6.99000% in February this year, its lowest level since May 2022.
Year on year, the MMR continued on a downward path, falling from 7.99000% in February 2025 to 6.99000% at present.
It is worth noting that the MMR hit a peak in early 2023, reaching 8.05000% in March 2023.
By way of reminder, the Central Bank’s Board of Directors decided on 30 December 2025 to cut the key policy rate by 50 basis points, bringing it to 7%. The decision took effect on 7 January 2026.
