Cleanliness and environment: citizen mobilization in Djerba

The Jeune Chambre Économique of Djerba Midoun has launched, in partnership with the Municipality of Djerba Midoun, an exceptional program of cleanliness and environmental protection campaigns. The initiative runs from 31 January to 8 February, with the aim of improving environmental conditions and the quality of life for local residents.

A civic commitment to a sustainable environment

Carried out under the slogan “Together, we create change… together, we protect our environment”, this initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of civil society actors to community service. It also demonstrates their determination to contribute to the national effort to promote a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

    Mobilizing citizens and youth

The campaigns aim to actively involve citizens—particularly young people—along with associations and volunteers, in preserving the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the city. Organizers stress that environmental protection is a collective responsibility that requires the involvement of all local stakeholders.

The event aims to further strengthen civic responsibility toward the environment, while enhancing awareness-raising and outreach efforts related to improving environmental conditions.

    Cleaning, maintenance and beautification activities
