Espérance Sportive de Tunis departed for the United States on Wednesday morning to take part in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
The Tunisian side will compete in Group D and is set to kick off the group stage against Brazil’s Flamengo on June 17, 2025, at 2:00 AM (local time), followed by a clash with Los Angeles on June 20 at 11:00 PM, and then a match against Chelsea on June 25 at 2:00 AM.
Speaking to TN Sport before the team’s departure, Espérance’s head coach stated that his side would seize the opportunity to challenge the world’s elite, despite not having secured any new signings before the transfer deadline, which expired on Tuesday, June 10.
He will rely primarily on the players who led the club to a historic treble this 2024–2025 season, clinching the league title, the national cup, and the Super Cup.
