This Wednesday, the Indictment Chamber specializing in financial corruption cases at the Tunis Court of Appeal decided to refer Mohamed Sakhr El Materi to the Criminal Chamber for financial corruption cases at the Tunis Court of First Instance.
In a separate case, the same Indictment Chamber decided to suspend criminal proceedings, under the Administrative Reconciliation Act, against former Minister Counselor to the Presidency of the Republic Monji Safra.
As a reminder, this case concerns a public contract awarded to a company headed by the son-in-law of former President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.
