On Sunday afternoon, Angola cruised past South Africa with a commanding 3–0 victory in the final of the 2025 Cosafa Cup, held at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
Powered by a brace from Depú and a stunning free-kick by Felício Joao, the Palancas Negras clinched their second consecutive title in the regional tournament.
This marks Angola’s fifth Cosafa Cup crown, adding to previous triumphs in 1999, 2001, 2004, and 2024. With an impressive tally of eight goals in five matches, Laurindo Aurélio—known as Depú—not only propelled his team to glory but also earned the tournament’s Golden Boot award.
