The general filling rate of dams stood at 23.1% as of August 29, 2024, with rates of around 27.8% in the North, 7% in the centre and 3.4% in Cap Bon, the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI) revealed on Thursday in its bulletin on the figures for August 2024.
The contributions of the dams registered on August 29 reached 1.612 million m³, including 1.361 million m³ of contributions to the dams in the North. Remark that water consumption is estimated at 1 million m³ per day.
According to the National Institute of Meteorology (INM), the delegation of El Alâ in the governorate of Kairouan registered the highest amount of rain in the country in the last 24 hours. According to the same source, 20 mm of rain was recorded.
And to add that 13 mm of rain was recorded in Bir Ali in the governorate of Sfax.
