On behalf of the first match between Tunisia and Zimbabwe (group 2 of the Davis Cup), Malek Jaziri (303 ATP) defeated No. 2 of the Zimbabwean selection, Mehluli Don Ayanda Sibanda (1061 ATP) in two innings (6-0 and 6-1).

The second match of this 1st day will oppose Aziz Dougaz (331 world) and the No. 1 of Zimbabwe, Benjamin Lock (210 ATP).
