“With great concern, the Tunisian Embassy in Spain is closely monitoring the catastrophic situation unfolding in different regions, which has led to an increase in deaths due to the recent storm,” reads the embassy’s statement.
“On behalf of the embassy, as well as the Tunisian government and people, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the people and government of Spain. We also hope for the safe recovery of those who are missing and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded.
We would like to reaffirm the strong solidarity that has always existed between our two friendly nations in the face of this shared challenge of climate change,” the statement added, noting that Tunisian nationals are safe and well.
