Inspection teams from the Regional Directorate of Trade and Export Development of Manouba, in coordination with municipal police officers, seized 47 quintals of subsidized flour on Monday evening at a classified bakery located in La Denden, in the governorate of Manouba.
Preliminary findings revealed that the bakery owner allegedly used flour intended exclusively for regulated bread production to prepare refined bread and pastries, in breach of Tunisia’s subsidy regulations.
The seized quantity amounted to 94 bags weighing 50 kg each. Authorities confiscated the stock and initiated legal proceedings against the offender.
