Despite Being a Man Down… Real Madrid Secures First Club World Cup Victory Against Pachuca (Video)

Real Madrid claimed their first victory in the FIFA Club World Cup just moments ago, defeating Mexican side Pachuca 3-1 in the second round of the group stage.

The match was held in Charlotte, as part of the ongoing tournament currently taking place in the United States.

The goals for Los Merengues came from Jude Bellingham in the 35th minute, Arda Güler in the 43rd, and Federico Valverde in the 70th.

Pachuca’s lone goal was scored by Elías Moncayola in the 80th minute.

Notably, the Spanish giants played nearly the entire match with ten men, following the dismissal of Raúl Asencio in the 7th minute.

With this result, Real Madrid provisionally tops Group H with 4 points, followed by Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg with 3 points and a game in hand.

Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal sits third with 1 point, also with a game in hand, while Pachuca remains at the bottom of the table without a point.
