The Anti-Narcotics Unit of the El Gorjani Judicial Police apprehended a young woman in La Goulette in possession of two bags of cocaine, as part of an ongoing investigation into a drug trafficking network operating in the region.
Investigation Reveals a Structured Network
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, authorities found that the suspect stored drugs at her home and was linked to an accomplice who remains at large. Based on this information, a search warrant was obtained from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, leading to the seizure of additional quantities of cocaine and evidence suggesting an organized trafficking network.
The authorities are now focused on identifying other potential accomplices and dismantling the network.
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
Following the prosecutor’s orders, the woman has been placed in custody, and an arrest warrant has been issued for her fugitive accomplice. The inquiry is still underway and could result in further arrests in the coming days.
