Drone strikes hit 2 Saudi Aramco oil facilities, Houthi group announces responsibility

Drones strikes claimed by Houthi rebels hit the largest oil processing plant in Saudi Arabia and a principal oilfield run by Saudi Aramco early Saturday, sparking a large blaze.

The footage revealed a huge flame at Abqaiq, the official site of Aramco‘s biggest oil processing plant, while a second drone strike caused fires in the Khurais oilfield.
The Saudi interior ministry spokesman announced Aramco industrial security teams fighting the fires since 0400 (0100 GMT) had succeeded to manage them and halt their spread. He did not recognise the source of the drones but said an inquiry was underway.
The Houthi group promptly announced their direct responsibility on drone strikes that attacked two Saudi Aramco plants sparking fires.
