Egypt, Jordan condemn Israeli rescue operation

The Israeli assault in Nuseirat in central Gaza, resulting in 236 deaths and over 400 injuries, drew strong condemnation from Egypt and Jordan.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attacks, labelling them as a severe breach of international law and human rights principles. “Egypt holds Israel legally and ethically responsible for this blatant aggression and demands compliance as an occupying power to cease the indiscriminate targeting of Palestinian civilians, including those in displacement areas, and the devastating destruction of all infrastructure services in the Gaza Strip,” said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Jordan echoed Egypt’s sentiments, urging immediate action from the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to halt Israeli aggression and uphold the rights of Gaza’s civilians.
