The Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) reported that during the first quarter of the year, the country registered 172 environmental movements, of which 83 were linked to the problem of recurring water interruption.
The water right was the major environmental demand, representing 64.5% of total environmental movements.
Remark that the governorate of Kairouan occupied first place in terms of the number of environmental movements, followed by the governorate of Nabeul, then that of Gafsa.
