Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday and told him Ankara will continue to support Palestine’s “just cause” in its war against Israel.
Erdogan stated that his country would work to “stop Israel” and urged other countries to boost their efforts towards ensuring a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Meanwhile, Abbas stated that a ceasefire should be implemented to stop the killing of “defenceless innocents” and called for Israel’s full withdrawal from Gaza.
