The committee expressed concern over the phenomenon of regionalist chants and practices, as well as certain manifestations of rivalry between clubs during national team matches. It stressed that the national team belongs to all Tunisians and that its interests must take precedence over all sporting and regional affiliations.
Étoile du Sahel also renewed its call for national team matches to be distributed among the various stadiums across Tunisia, arguing that decentralizing the fixtures would help strengthen among supporters a sense of belonging and equality between regions, while acknowledging the difficulties linked to sports infrastructure.
Étoile du Sahel concluded its statement by reaffirming its support for the national team, its players, and its technical and administrative staff, stressing that the Tunisian flag should be the color that unites all supporters.
