The European Council decided on Wednesday to prolong sanctions against Russia targeting those responsible for undermining or threatening Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence. The measures, applying to nearly 1,800 people and entities, will stay in force until March 15, 2024.
The sanctions include travel restrictions for natural persons, asset freezing, and a ban on making funds or other economic resources available to the listed individuals and entities. The Council also decided not to renew the sanctions for four individuals.
