The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced that Doha will host the 2025 “The Best” awards ceremony on Tuesday, the day after tomorrow.
The event will take place on the eve of the kick-off of the Intercontinental Club Cup final (Qatar 2025), which will pit Paris Saint-Germain (France) against Flamengo (Brazil) at the Ahmed Ben Ali World Cup stadium.
During the evening, the winners of the categories honoring the best male and female players, and the best male and female coaches of 2025 will be unveiled at a gala dinner in Doha.
The ceremony will also reveal the most outstanding fan, the best male and female goalkeepers, and the best goals, through digital videos published on platforms and social media, as well as the winner of the fair play award.
Around 800 high-profile guests are expected to attend the dinner, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Council members, FIFA legends, representatives of member associations from around the world, local and regional ambassadors, and leading figures from the football world.
FIFA also said fans took part in voting for “The Best 2025”, with more than 16 million ballots cast—an involvement described as pivotal in determining the winners across the various awards.
