As part of the national campaign to combat rabies, the Ministry of Health has issued an information document presenting several recommendations for citizens.
According to this document, the ministry recommends following a preventive treatment for individuals exposed to animal bites, even if they are domestic, vaccinated and apparently in good health.
It is also recommended to carefully clean the injury or lesion with soap and water in the event of a bite.
