During a working session held at the ministry, Minister of Tourism Sofiane Tekaya met with the Public Expenditure Controller, Wahbi El Hami.
Discussions focused on the performance of the tourism sector in 2025, as well as an assessment of the effective use of human, material and financial resources, as part of efforts to entrench the principles of good governance and strengthen coordination in financial management.
According to a Tourism Ministry statement released on Friday evening, the meeting also addressed preparations for the coming period, ways to ensure the smooth rollout of planned programmes, and the adoption of the necessary measures to further improve performance and enhance the efficiency of management and governance. On this occasion, the Public Expenditure Controller presented the annual public spending oversight report for 2024.
For his part, the Minister of Tourism stressed the importance of the efforts made, and of coordination and consultation between the ministry’s departments and the Public Expenditure Controller, noting that the latter’s role goes beyond oversight alone to include an essential advisory and support function, contributing to tighter financial management and the development of working tools.
