Cyprus Health Ministry confirmed on Tuesday the country has registered its first monkeypox cases in a 40-year-old traveler, who is being treated at a Nicosia hospital.
The monkeypox outbreak has spread globally over the past weeks, with Brazil and Spain reporting last week first disease-related deaths outside Africa.
